xg-2000系列卧式插件机是用来将已经按程序编排好的42mm宽的卧式元件（如：电阻，二极管等）和筒状跳线，按程序先后顺序自动地插入到pcb（电路板）的孔内，并折弯和剪脚，将元件固定在pcb上。
该机器的一个显著特色是：可以直接将筒状跳线不经过再次编排而直接插入到pcb上，可以节约1/3的跳线。在自行开发的软件配合下，该机器集三种功能于一身：既能单独插跳线，又能单独插卧式电子元件，还能跳线和卧式元件混合插。一台机器，只需要一人操作，能完成四十个人手动插件的产能。
